A forest trail leads through riverine forest to a point where you plunge into the Olho D’Água a crystal-clear creek that feeds the Rio da Prata river. The guide provides thorough instructions and a safety briefing before setting off. Snorkeling (in buoyant wetsuits) requires hardly any effort as the gentle current carries you past schools of colourful fish, submerged branches and underwater scenes that reminds one of a tropical aquarium. Of equal beauty are the towering trees with branches that stretch and embrace each other above. Before or after your tour (depending on your starting time) a delicious regional lunch awaits – simple but tasty food with a variety of meat, fish, some vegetarian dishes and desserts to die for! After lunch, take time to rest in one of the many hammocks or interact with resident macaws.
