​The Piquinho Trail is a guided hiking experience in Fernando de Noronha, offering access to the highest point of the main island. Located near Boldró, the walk begins along an unpaved road that leads to a trail traversing native vegetation. The route combines steady ascent with sections of moderate walking and provides opportunities to observe endemic species and characteristic island flora along the way.

The highlight of the excursion is the ascent to the summit of Morro do Piquinho, which, at 321 metres above sea level, is the island’s highest peak. From the top, panoramic views extend across both sides of the island, revealing contrasting seascapes and coastal formations. At sunrise, participants can observe the first light over the eastern coastline, facing the open Atlantic and known locally as the Mar de Fora, while late afternoon departures coincide with sunset views framed by the iconic Dois Irmãos rock formations, among the most recognisable landmarks of the archipelago.

The trail is classified as moderate in difficulty and is suitable for participants with a reasonable level of fitness. The pace is adapted to the group, with time allocated for observation of the landscape and short pauses for photographs and contemplation.

Departures are scheduled between 05:00 and 07:00 for sunrise and between 16:30 and 18:30 for sunset, with a minimum of two participants required. The excursion is conducted in accordance with local environmental guidelines, ensuring a low-impact experience within this protected island environment.
