This excursion starts with a two kilometre drive in open-top jeep through the tropical rainforest of Iguaçu National Park. As the tour proceeds at a gentle pace, a specialist guide points out and explains the features of the forest, and its native flora and fauna. The final 500 metres to the bank of the River Iguaçu are on foot, before you board a specially-equipped, powerful, 25-seat motor launch that takes you right up to the thundering waters of the falls. It’s a thrilling ride and as the boat negotiates the rough waters and penetrates the mist created by the falls, you should be prepared to get wet!
