​Visit Lençóis Maranhenses lakes and sand dunes by 4×4. There is nothing in the world quite like it. A desert of white sand dunes with very little vegetation, crystal-clear fresh water lagoons and largely unstudied wildlife, extending for an area of 155 thousand hectares, making it the largest national park in northeastern Brazil. In spite of the fact that it has the dimensions of the city of São Paulo, it is only inhabited by 200 families. The Lençóis Maranhenses in the state of Maranhão is considered to be one of the seven wonders of nature, but to discover it one needs a sense of adventure.
