The Island Tour by 4×4 offers the most comprehensive overland exploration of Fernando de Noronha, combining the island’s principal beaches, scenic viewpoints and natural landmarks within a full-day itinerary. Conducted in a 4×4 vehicle accommodating up to ten participants, the excursion provides access to different parts of the island while ensuring comfort and flexibility across varied terrain.
The itinerary includes the Porto de Santo Antônio harbour area, with its points of historic interest, as well as the nearby Alagado dos Tubarões tidal pools and the Buraco da Raquel rock formation. The route continues to Praia do Sancho, repeatedly recognised in international rankings among the world’s most beautiful beaches, where elevated viewpoints reveal dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters. Nearby stops include Cacimba do Padre and Baía dos Porcos, known for their striking rock formations and views of the iconic Dois Irmãos sea stacks.
On the southern side of the island, stops are made at Praia do Sueste, known for its calmer waters and marine life, and Praia do Leão, an important nesting site for sea turtles. Throughout the day, there are stops for sea bathing and snorkelling, allowing participants to engage directly with the island’s marine environment.
The excursion concludes at Mirante do Boldró, where participants gather to observe the sunset over the Atlantic, often framed by the Dois Irmãos sea stacks, a defining feature of the archipelago’s skyline.
The tour operates from 08:00 to 18:30, with a total duration of approximately eight hours, and is conducted in accordance with local environmental regulations. A lunch stop is scheduled during the day and may be taken at a local restaurant (optional and not included).
