Located on the UNESCO protected archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, 345 km off the coast of Northeastern Brazil, the paradisiac Sancho Bay can only be reached by boat or via a short trail, which makes it perfect for nature lovers in search of some peace and quiet. A popular viewing point for both dolphins and sea turtles and surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, Baía do Sancho is certainly one of the highlights of Fernando de Noronha, but the destination has a lot more to offer.

Called The Emerald of the Atlantic, the archipelago breathes nature through every pore, having been declared a National Marine Park in 1989. Secluded beaches and a variety of tropical flora and fauna reward visitors who undertake the trip. With crystal clear waters and an incredibly rich marine life, Fernando de Noronha is especially popular within the scuba-diving community; for less seasoned adventurers, snorkelling is an equally fascinating alternative. As environmental protection is a top priority, no high-rise hotels have been built on the island and visitors contribute with an environmental protection tax in order to ensure the preservation of this paradise for future generations.

Served by daily flights from Recife and Natal, the idyllic isle offers accommodation and tour options for all tastes
