This is the opportunity for those of you who would like to get to know a serious and honest project, looking for positive results for those living in a social risk area.

Situated in one of Salvador’s favelas (shanty towns), the Associação Criança & Família (Child and Family Association) was created in 1980 by members of a small catholic fraternity from France. They started in a small wooden shack which they used for meetings and celebrations. However, the shack was also used as a school for poor children living in the area. In 1988 they managed to start a crèche, which nowadays hosts an average of about 160 children.
