Opened in 1994 at the entrance to Iguaçu National Park, the Bird Park is in complete harmony with its surroundings. Its large, semi-natural enclosures house more than 900 birds of 150 different species, and while walking through the beautiful Mata Atlantica (Atlantic Rainforest), you will see many spectacular native and exotic birds – some of which are endangered species. Toucans swoop low over visitors wandering along the carefully laid-out network of paths, while information boards and signs provide a wealth of information for enthusiasts. As well as the birds, you’ll also see snakes, caimans, marmosets and beautiful butterflies.
